PE-LD Recycling Low-density Polyethylene Recycling

An incredibly versatile material, LDPE finds widespread use in packaging, agriculture, construction and consumer goods.

CJM can offer recycling and industry leading rebates on:

The LDPE Recycling Process

Though similar to HDPE, LDPE plastic is characterised by it’s low density.  Such flexibility and suppleness enables manufacturers to mould LDPE into a multitude of shapes and sizes with ease.

To recycle LDPE plastic it must be cleaned to remove any contaminants, such as food residue, dirt and other debris.  It is then shredded into small pieces to prepare it for processing. The shredded LDPE plastic is melted and moulded into pellets, which are then cooled and solidified. The LDPE plastic pellets are used as raw material to produce new products, such as containers, packaging, and other plastic items.

LDPE Recycling

Low Density Polythene (LDPE), generally used for trays and heavier duty films such as long-life bags and sacks, poly tunnels, protective sheeting, food bags etc.  If treated correctly, LDPE is 100% recyclable so material can be used over and over again.

CJM can ensure your LDPE waste is recycled.  We buy LDPE from waste companies and from engineering and manufacturing businesses from across the UK.  We also offer highly competitive rebates on LDPE. Contact us to learn more.

Low-density Polyethylene Recycling

"Beyond PET lump, backflush and purge, CJM were able to identify a waste stream that we were not aware was recyclable. They were able to take it off our hands thereby upping our recycling rates."
